We agree with the BMA that the GP contract imposed without negotiation on GPs in England in 2023 and 2024 is not fit for purpose, and does not fund the practice sufficiently to provide the level of care to which we aspire. However, we believe that the new Government should be given time to address the situation. We do not believe it is fair that our patients, who are our first priority, should suffer as a result of our disagreement with NHS England and the Government. Therefore we will continue to do our best with the resources we have, and trust in negotiation with the new Government to improve the situation.
