Sister Lynn Adlington
Lynn is responsible for leading the nursing team.
Clinical areas include the management of long term conditions including heart disease, stroke, chronic kidney disease, hypertension (high blood pressure). Primary prevention of heart disease and health check follow up.
Women’s health – coil and implant fitting, contraception advice/initiation.
Travel advice and vaccinations as well as general practice nurse duties.
Mrs Helen Lane
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Helen joined the practice in 2017. She worked as a practice nurse for several years before progressing to her current role as an advanced nurse practitioner. Helen is currently undertaking a Master’s in advanced clinical practice at the University of Plymouth. She works with the urgent care team based in both Cirencester and Tetbury and also at the Royal Agricultural University. Helen is also the practice’s research nurse, working alongside Dr. Vernon.
Mrs Carol Thompson
Carol is a Senior Practice nurse at the surgery. She is the lead diabetes nurse for the practise and is predominantly based at the Cirencester surgery. Carol is also responsible for running the Indigo clinic every week
Mrs Tina McTaggart
Tina is a part time practice nurse, mainly focussing on respiratory and diabetic care.
Mrs Clare Wood
Clare has worked at the surgery for the last five years as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for our care home residents . With a background in community care including the Frailty Service, Rapid Response and District Nursing, her specialist interest is in caring for the elderly in a holistic manner to insure they continue to have a good quality of life in their advancing years . She , along with her colleague Katie , visits each care home every two weeks so that close monitoring is maintained and good relationships are built up with the home and its residents .
Mrs Katie Langmaid
Katie has worked at the Surgery for the past 3 years as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Care Home residents. Katie has a background working for secondary care, including Medical and Surgical Ward Management and for 17 years as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Acute Care Response team at Gloucestershire Hospitals. Her specialist interests are care of the elderly, preventing hospital admissions, and helping to insure quality of life for care home patients. Working alongside Clare, she visits the care homes every two weeks, for close monitoring and to build collaborative relationships with patients and staff.
Mrs Alice Grube
Alice joined us in 2020 and leads the Royal Agricultural University Nurse-led clinic, alongside ANP Helen Lane. She is on a trainee pathway and hoping to become an ANP in the future. Prior to joining the practice, Alice worked in Intensive Care, before moving into Practice Nursing and research. Alice has a particular interest in helping those struggling with mental health difficulties and eating disorders, as well as carers and Veterans (being a Royal Navy Veteran herself)!
Mrs Kerry Tickle
Kerry is a newly qualified as a Nurse working across Cirencester, Tetbury and South Cerney.
Mrs Anne Green
Anne has been a practice nurse for over 20 years. She has a keen interest in travel health, childhood immunisations and women’s health. Anne is also trained in asthma and COPD management.
Mrs Rebecca Lea
Newly qualified nurse, graduated from the University of Gloucestershire. Sixteen-year background in elderly and dementia care. Keen interests in medicines and palliative/end of life care.
Healthcare assistant
Mrs Teresa Sidley
Teresa holds a regular surgery at the main surgery in Cirencester, offering blood pressure checks, B12 injections, ECG’s and assisting the doctors with minor operations. She also runs the NHS health check clinic’s and leads the INR clinic.
Mrs Elaine Dove
Elaine is a HCA based at Phoenix Tetbury. Elaine assists our GP’s with minor surgery, in addition to treatment duties such as dressings, sutures, clip removal, phlebotomy, INR monitoring, ECG’s, some vaccinations and immunisations and adult health checks.
Mrs Hayley Dash
Hayley currently works across three of the Phoenix sites (Cirencester, Tetbury, South Cerney ) doing the physical checks and blood tests for our patients with diabetes.
She is also part of the research team supporting Dr Vernon & Helen Lane.
Phlebotomist
Mrs Helen Cole
Helen is a part time Phlebotomist who visits all of our sites. Helen has almost 20 years expirience of Phlebotomy and before that Helen was a nurse for 15 years in the NHS and Private Sector.
