Pharmacy Technician (PCN Medicines Optimisation)

Salary: £15.59 to £17.07 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time or Part-time hours available

Location: Tetbury

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our established and busy practice for a Pharmacy Technician. We value enthusiasm as well as experience and welcome interest from both experienced applicants and passionate newly qualified starters.

This post will:

  • Support the functional role of prescribing and medicines optimisation as a registered and qualified pharmacy technician.
  • Basic prescribing analysis using ePACT2 prescribing data.
  • Support the implementation of the PCN DES and day-to-day general practice and promote high quality, cost-effective prescribing in primary care.

You will need:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), meeting the specific qualification and training requirements specified by the GPhC criteria to register as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Demonstrable and significant experience in primary care, hospital or community pharmacy.
  • Willing to enrol on the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Educational Pathway.
